Founded in 2012 by principal architects, Ankur Sanghvi and Hemal Tamboli, Tranquil – the design wave has emerged as a full-service design studio working on Architecture, Interior design, and Landscape design, working across key cities in the country.
Tranquil believes a good design is produced be the passion for craft, detail and materiality which leads to a potential finished design. The need for intimacy and involvement with the client, and the continuous endeavour for achieving excellence has ensured that Tranquil works as a boutique practice, with a compact team that contribute to keen detailing and effective functioning.
As designers we value design as our tool to influence the way people use the space. The intent of the design was, to not only meet the stated needs of the owner, but to fulfill his or her dreams as well and to create aesthetic and functional spaces fitting for each individual client. We strive to promote relationships spatially enhancing the performance of the built environment and its inhabitants. Each design should be one of a kind, creating spaces that a client can call “their own”. We believe that the design process is a collaborative effort between the client and the designer.
